March 17, 2013: Pre-Production of "Hell Is All We Have" began last night. Listening to what has been written and the format that's been laid out. This album may become an Epic, like Metallica "Master of Puppets" and Iron Maidens "Powerslave".
March 24, 2013: Apathy's second album to be at least and Hour full of music. The bands first effort was about 30-45 minutes and the songs were at least 3min. The songs written now hold a bit more weight and are running about 5 minutes., those 5 minutes wont be boring metal heads!
JANUARY 20, 2013: PETE WELLS AND JOHN MADNESS TO RECORD APATHY ALBUM: Former Apathy bass player John "Madness" Titkamason and Pete Wells will reunite to record "Hell Is All We Have" the long awaited sophomore album. John will be handling the Recording and Engineering aspect and Pete will handle the Producing, Mixing and Pre-production. John was in Apathy during '07-'08 and appears on the 2008 Ep, you could say John was Apathy's first official bassist that had to part with band due to his service in the Army. John was called to serve in Iraq but has always remained good friends with the guys in APATHY.
JANUARY 13, 2013: ITS OFFICIAL! JAVIER FLORENCIA IS THE NEW BASSIST in Apathy. Javier auditioned for Apathy just before the New Year with only knowing a few songs. Last night the guys went in to go over the songs and he nailed 8 eight of them. Still some work is needed but he'll be ready by the March 9th show with Lich King and more.
JANUARY 5, 2013: A NEW BASSIST ALREADY: It hasn't been made official but last nights radio interview on Japan Nicks WMSC 90.3 FM included an unfamiliar name and voice in the Apathy camp. Javier Florencia was answering some questions and was slightly mentioned as the new bass player in Apathy. If this is so, the guys were not missing a beat in replacing the short term bassist Mike.
JANUARY 4 2013: APATHY ON WMSC 90.3 FM TONIGHT: Apathy will appear on Japan Nick radio show at 10 PM. JANUARY 3, 2013: MIKE JAMES aka "Bass Action Hero" NO LONGER IN APATHY: Like former bassist Bill Valverde, with only just 4 months in the band Mike James, or Poplees, whatever his name is had other plans that did not include Apathy. Without a word, Mike decided to join another band without telling the guys. Only to find out on his FB Page! So its safe to say this guy is a flake!..
DECEMBER 18, 2012: PRODUCTION UPDATE writing is going smooth, searching for a studio is still in the works but the band wages on. 8 Tracks already in the mix, the band looks to lay down 12 songs for the new album. No album track lists will be posted until the album is complete....If you went to the band link page it us under construction and will soon be up before or after the new year. If you need to contact the band/manager please go to the Contact Link page for emails and more.
DECEMBER 13, 2012: MURDER WITHIN THE SKIN Looks and sounds like a song that's been on the Apathy track list may finally be recorded and end up on the new album. Song is titled "Murder Within The Skin". Written when the band was just coming together. "We tried to work on it when we did our first record but it didn't flow right and the lyrics were fucking garbage."
DECEMBER 8,2012: NOT GOING WITH THE NORM ON RECORDING Its been mentioned that the guys in APATHY are not going to follow the same type of recording styles as most bands do today. Stripping back and cranking out some reverb with a one-two punch to the gut bass and drums to match. "Its nothing new really, but today its the in thing to do, go direct to the board, trigger the drums, etc. it doesn't sound natural. Listening to earlier Kreator, Sodom and Exodus has given us motivation with our sound, writing and ambition. We want the fans to hear those amps scream and bleed not choking to compression." Its been a rough few months for us but we are getting back on track, this album is gonna kill!
OCTOBER 8, 2012: FRONT MAN TALKS ABOUT NEW RECORD TO DO THE TALKING"
"Some of you close to the band already know how I feel about the next record compared to the last. (2009) A Decade Of Violence was a great record and it gave us some pretty good success, The response around the world has all been good, but now its time to bury that album and move on. The music we are putting together is a bit challenging for us, because we are stepping out of some of our habits and handicap's. Since 2009 the line up has changed, so with the new blood, the musical design of Apathy will be a bit more 3 & 4 dimensional if that exists! LOL! Giving it a more progressive sound, something that wasn't on the last record that I sorta wanted to achieve, but not stepping too much out of APATHY's shell! ... We played many shows, some good, great and really disappointing to the point I was gonna call it quits. The most disheartening thing are these promoters calling us to do shows and never checking us out, only to be on a show with some Emo crap show, where the promoter says, "you guys were to heavy for this show!" My point is this, APATHY is coming out swinging with this album, before doing any show or Tour you better know what your getting into with this band and the music we play. Not trying to be cocky but Apathy's paid their dues and its time for you to listen! We are a Thrash Metal band, our music is thrash and its time!
